We haven't got any - all right!

Coming soon Dunmow Football Clubs very own Manager with a special series on how to score a record number of own goals in one season (I think it was 16 last season!).

Our very own own-goal specialist (The Manager, Simon) managed to score at the right end this weekend (19/02/00) from about 25 yards. The general consensus is that he heard Captain Rick shouting - "Clear It, Get Rid" - but we don't believe that do we...?

Anyhow - we do use tactics occasionally - we changed our usual 4-4-2 formation to a 4-5-1 formation for the game against Quendon Athletic. We scored first (first time we have done that in 2 years) and were playing well at half time going in at 1-1. Unfortunately Simon, with an eye on keeping all the subs happy, substituted himself for John and the whole team fell apart. Final score 1-7 to Quendon!
