Saturday 04/08/07 Dunmow v Sheering

Friendly - Draw 0-0

First friendly of the season welcomed Sheering from the Bishop's Stortford, Stansted & District League in scorching conditions - it was certainly well into the 30's pitch side.

A very entertaining and competitive friendly saw both sides draw a blank in front of goal...and that was probably the reason Dunmow weren't able to register their first friendly win, with Sheering clearing off the line on a number of occasions and being saved by the underside of a post. Sheering though, deserved a share of the spoils with a very well run back line that caught Dunmow off side on numerous occasions and they looked dangerous on the break.

Dunmow: Lewis Apps, James Dolan, Daniel Lodge, Paul Sutton, Michael Church, Sam Jaggard, Graham Bennett, Tom Hancock, Jason Fletcher, Ben Lovett, Ben Johnston, Tom Aldridge, Kevin Storey. (Roll on Roll off subs so all played their part).

Barnston 5-a-side Competition

A week earlier than normal, but strangely blessed (for the most part) with terrific weather - despite flooding either side in Dunmow and Chelmsford - no rain fell until late in the day at Barnston - and we were out of the competition by then so didn't care!!

The team was made up of a mix of 1st team and reserves:

Lewis Apps (Keeper), Kolja Plomp, Tom Aldridge, Sam Jaggard, Ben Lovitt and Martin Windsor.

Buntingford B - Won 2-0 - Goals Martin Windsor and Sam Jaggard
